With a name like The One, you know this perfume is going to be very distinctive. I’m talking about the Dolce&Gabbana fragrance The One for women. Move over Chanel No. 5!
For the past 6 years, which is when I started wearing The One, I have always received plenty of compliments from friends and strangers alike, exclaiming how nice I smell ! (If you have been reading my other posts, you will know I am a creature of habit 😛 ) That off course always puts a smile on face! The funny thing though is that after wearing it for such a long time, the scent to me when I am wearing it, is very faint or close to being non-existent, however I know that for other people around me, the scent is very much distinctive.
There is a possible explanation to this mystery! Often when people select a perfume, the trick is to select what works well with your body odour. This is because fragrances tend to work with your body odour, creating an individually specific scent, according to Lenochova et al. (2012). Therefore, to get the fragrance that will complement your scent, you must wear it and actually determine whether you like it or not. For me, as soon as I found The One, I have never looked back. From time to time I will try a different perfume, however I always go back to The One, it’s really the one for me !
This fragrance is perfect for both summer and in winter, thanks to its mature and moderate fragrance. It’s is described to a modern ‘floriental’ eau de parfum combining contemporary fruit ingredients with the perfume’s classic palette of white flowers.
Half the time when I buy perfume, its only because I love the design of the bottle ! Surely I am not the only one ?! With The One for women, the bottle is described to pay homage to perfumery tradition while being a perfect example of luxurious style.
Here in Australia, particularly in Melbourne, you can find The One for women at affordable prices from The Chemist Warehouse. The range comes in three different sized bottles: 30ml, 50ml and 75ml.
